‘Terrific singers whose voices blend perfectly in the most intricate of harmonies … a class act – they deserve to go far’ (The Evening Star, December 2010)

Over the Bridge is an all-male close harmony group made up of past and present students from the University of Cambridge. The group formed in 2005 and has, since then, proceeded to build a formidable reputation as Cambridge’s most entertaining close harmony group, famed for their ‘infectious enthusiasm’ as well as their ability to display ‘the vast amount of timbres and textures that a cappella singing can achieve to produce a really special performance’ (Cambridgeshire Agenda, July 2010).

Recent highlights include: prestigious performances in New York City as part of the University of Cambridge’s 800th anniversary celebrations; a concert with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by John Rutter; a successful series of concerts for the Cambridge Summer Music Festival; and annual sell-out shows at the Amateur Dramatic Club Theatre in Cambridge.

Under the Influence is the group’s first CD. Recorded and produced by John Rutter, it features an eclectic mix of styles: whether you enjoy classic Beatles tracks, smooth jazz or sizzling contemporary hit mash-ups this disc will certainly not fail to impress! Using many of their own arrangements, Over the Bridge exploits the group’s intimate size so that they can indulge in luscious harmony, experiment with exciting textures and groove to the funky beat…
